It's so interesting, to see how a craftsman makes things, step by step.
Lovely frame - it deserved to be gilded. Will it be polished, or left sort-of matt finished? What will be put in that frame - a special painting, a portrait, a photograph?
I love how objects collect a history and how the crafting of the object begins its "life". It's wonderful to know the books I make will be used, kept, treasured; depending on their use, they may become old and scruffy, or stay quite clean and crisp, but they will still have that "history", starting with me making them and continuing for who-knows how long...
Great post - I'd love to see more of these step-by-step photo-posts!

Incredible. I know I've been very spoiled my whole life growing up under a talented picture framer but this one leaves me in awe. I can't take this one for granted. That is true skill.

I will post the finished painting in the frame as soon as the Artist sends it to me
