Leather

I don't often have the opportunity to work with leather, although it is one of my favorite frames to make.

This was a project for a nice painting of good ole John Wayne. Of course, while creating the frame,

I had to put in a favorite movie of mine,  "Rio Bravo" starring "The Duke" which helped smooth the way.

Plein Air

Through the summer I have been painting 3 to 4 times a week outdoors early morning sessions usually finished by ten. I have posted a few of the "in progress" paintings.

 I hope to paint at the Spring City Paint Out next week, that's if I get enough frames to my customers before then. I mailed a few new paintings off to Principle Gallery and should be able to send a  few more by the first of the week. Apple Frame Gallery Plein air show is coming up in 2 weeks I will have new paintings to show there also.  
Painting outdoors has been helping the inventory problem.
